About the Designer:

Founder and lead designer Kim Scott is a graduate of Brown University and the Landscape Design Program at George Washington University.  Kim has an innate love of plants and has been an avid gardener on both coasts of the U.S. as well as in Sweden, where she and her husband lived for several years. Kim's in-depth knowledge of trees, shrubs, and perennials informs every aspect of her design work.

During her childhood in New England, Kim acquired a fascination with stone that persists to this day.  Whenever possible, Kim uses stone in creative ways to provide structure and interest to her designs.  She has a special interest in native and sustainable landscapes, and always keeps current on the latest environmental trends.

Kim has spent the last six years working with Jane MacLeish, the noted Washington DC landscape designer.  Her landscape design and construction projects range from intimate Georgetown gardens to large estates in Upperville, Virginia and Dublin, New Hampshire.
KESdesign represents a new chapter in Kim's design work and she is excited to bring her experience and creativity to new projects.
